Welcome to the Zimmerman (Minnesota) Wrestling Club website.

The Zimmerman Wrestling Club is an MN/USA Wrestling participating wrestling club for kids in grade K through 12.

"TEW (pronounced two!) - Takedown, Escape, Win"

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Zimmerman Wrestling Club (ZWC) is to provide an environment that is committed to teaching the fundamental techniques of amateur wrestling in a positive and encouraging manner, while instilling the principles of good sportsmanship and teamwork, and to prepare and challenge all wrestlers and parents alike for competition.

Important Events and Information
  • We are out promoting the benefits of wrestling to all local youth football programs and Mike and I spoke in front of the HS football team and presented this information. The benefits of wrestling in the off-season to football players are undeniable and we have much more information to share upon request Laughing

 Jayson Ness - TV and Newspaper Article

Season Update

Season end tournaments are coming up:) which means we are nearing wrestling season end :(

HS wrestling team sections are this coming saturday (Feb 20) followed by individual sections on friday  (Feb 26). State wrestling tournament is March 3-6.

Youth wrestling MN/USA State tournament is March 12-14 with 7 scheduled practices remaining. 

Its time to focus on your wrestling basics (i.e., concentrate on your one or two best takedowns, escapes, and pinning moves). Motto: "If you can take someone down and escape, then you will probably win."
